Unlocking a Bright Future in Corporate Governance: ESG CS Foundation Inspires Students in Sivakasi

On 26th June 2025, the Department of Commerce (R) of The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women (Autonomous), Sivakasi successfully organized a Career Guidance Programme titled "Unlocking a Bright Future in Corporate Governance" at the New Lab on campus.

The event featured a keynote session by Mr. A.N.S. Vijay, B.Com., FCS, B.L., President of ESG Company Secretary Foundation, Sivakasi and Mr. S.Sakthi Devaraj, B.Com CS Joint Secretary of ESG Company Secretary Foundation. With his deep expertise as a practicing Company Secretary, Mr. Vijay addressed students on the growing significance of corporate governance, the evolving role of Company Secretaries, and how AI and ESG trends are reshaping the professional landscape.

The session was highly engaging and thought-provoking, offering valuable insights to aspiring commerce students on career pathways, industry expectations, and the importance of ethics and compliance in today's corporate world.

Tamilnadu State Board (samacheer kalvi) Syllabus on Commerce for 11th standard and 12th standard School Students, been happy to know that it covers so many laws and content as per the Company Secretary (CS) course of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), which is under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). This exercise is done at Sivakasi Jaycees & Lions School, which is deeply into e-learning and has very good computer lab facility with all systems in working condition along with internet connection. This made learning fun for the students. Thanks to the Principal, Management, Staff and Students for their co-operation.
