The Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of ICSI successfully hosted the Startup Week 2026 at the ICSI-SIRC House, Chennai. The event brought together governance professionals and entrepreneurs to explore the "Transforming Start-up Ecosystem" with a focus on creating a digitally empowered nation.

The programme highlighted the dual pillars of startup success through two high-impact sessions:

🔹 Government Support & Incentives:
Shri C N Prem Kumar (Associate Vice President, Startup TN, Govt. of Tamil Nadu) delivered an insightful session on "Startup Relaxation & Government Schemes." He provided a roadmap for startups to leverage state-led initiatives designed to foster innovation and ease of doing business.

🔹 Regulatory Governance & Fundraising:
CS ANS Vijay (Practising Company Secretary, Bengaluru) shared expert perspectives on "Startup Compliances & Diligence for Fund Raising." The session underscored the vital role of Company Secretaries as "MSME and Start-up Catalysts" in ensuring legal and financial readiness for investment.

Under the leadership of CS Mahadev Tirunagari (Chairman, ICSI-SIRC), the event reaffirmed ICSI’s commitment to strengthening the capabilities of governance professionals in the ever-evolving startup landscape.
