 ICSI CLDP on Cyber Laws & DPDP | Empowering Students with Digital Awareness

On 1 September 2026, an insightful ICSI CLDP (Continuing Legal Professional Development) session on “Cyber Laws & Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP)” was conducted in Chennai, providing an excellent learning opportunity for the participants and students to understand the rapidly evolving digital legal and regulatory environment.

On behalf of ESG CS Foundation, our President, Dr. (CS) A.N.S. Vijay, Company Secretary, Lawyer & Social Impact Assessor, delivered an engaging and informative session on Cyber Laws, Data Privacy, Digital Personal Data Protection, Cybersecurity and Regulatory Compliance.

The students actively participated in the session and gained valuable knowledge about the importance of protecting personal data, maintaining data privacy, understanding cyber laws and being responsible users of the digital ecosystem.

The session helped the students connect their academic learning with real-world legal and professional practices. They gained practical insights into the challenges arising in the digital age and understood how cyber laws and data protection regulations are becoming increasingly important in the professional world.

It was encouraging to see the students showing keen interest, active participation and enthusiasm to learn throughout the session. The programme provided them with an opportunity to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom and develop awareness of an emerging and highly relevant area of law and compliance.
